Make fruit maracas (instructions here) and sing this song. Modify it depending on the fruit shakers you have made.

Variation: If you donít want to make the papier-m‚chť shakers, you can still make shakers to use with this song. Make shakers from empty prescription bottles. Using the fruit patterns cut out fruit shapes from construction paper (laminate to make them last), and glue a fruit picture to the top of the bottle. Or use your imagination and whatever materials you have to design your own fruit.

Shake, Shake, Shake Your Apples

I like to eat my apples, red and yellow too
And if you give me apples green,
Iíll make an apple pie for you

Come on and shake, shake, shake your apples
Shake Ďem way up high
Shake Ďem to the left and shake Ďem to the right
Letís have a little apple pie

I like to eat bananas, ripe and yellow too
And if theyíre really, really ripe,
Iíll make banana cream pie for you

Come on and shake, shake, shake your bananas
Shake Ďem way up high
Shake Ďem to the left and shake Ďem to the right
Letís have a little banana cream pie

Come on and shake, shake, shake your apple
Shake your banana too
Shake Ďem to the left and shake Ďem to the right
Iíll make a fruit salad for you, itís true
Iíll make a fruit salad for you, thatís what Iíll do
Iíll make a fruit salad for you
