This
song was inspired by my grandchildren who regularly go down to
the frog pond near their house. It got me thinking...and then
singing!
You can sing this song as is, or better yet, use it as a
template for your own song about places you and your children
like to go. Ask what their favorite places to go are, and have
them think of something they hear or do there. It’s pretty
open-ended, and you can easily adapt it with your children’s
ideas. You can take it a step further and take photos of your
children at each of the places you sing about, and then sing the
song as you go through the pictures. Children love to see
pictures of themselves, and having their own song to go with
them makes it extra special!
Frog Pond
Let’s go down
to the frog pond, let’s go down to the frog pond
Let’s go down to the frog pond and listen to the froggies sing

Let’s go down to the seashore, let’s go down to the seashore
Let’s go down to the seashore, and listen to the fishies sing
(glug, glug, glug, glug)
Let’s go down in the canyon, let’s go down in the canyon
Let’s go down into the canyon, and listen to the coyotes sing
(owooo)
Let’s go down to the dog park, let’s go down to the dog park
Let’s go down to the dog park, and listen to the doggies sing
