September is a great time to introduce new classroom traditions, and we all need music to motivate us. See if children can get the room all cleaned up by the time this song is over!

NOTE:
Don’t forget to check past September Songs of the Month for more songs that work for the start of the school year.

Clean Up Song

CHORUS

Clean up, clean up, everybody clean up

Pickin’ up the room as fast as we can

Clean up, clean up, everybody clean up

Working together is a mighty fine plan

1. Pieces in the puzzles and books on the shelf
And I can put away the blocks myself
Put a way the cars and the toy trucks too
We’ll sing a little song and soon we’re through

(CHORUS)

2. Bins and boxes and tubs and cubbies
And drawers and hooks and shelves
Everything has a little place to be
So we can clean it up all by ourselves

(CHORUS)
(Instrumental chorus for extra cleaning time!)

3. Take a look around, is there something on the ground
That needs to be put away
If you see it pick it up and put it where it goes
So we know where to find it on another day

(CHORUS)
