2. I’m A Cricket

sung to tune of Clementine

(act out each bug as you sing)

 

1. I’m a cricket, I’m a cricket,
I have ears down on my knees (repeat)

2. I’m a dragonfly, I’m a dragonfly,
and I have 2 pairs of wings (repeat)

3. I’m a housefly, I’m a housefly,
I can walk up on the the ceiling (repeat)

(lie down, hands and feet up in the air “walking” on the ceiling)

I can lift a heavy load (repeat)

Activities

1. Give children flashlights, and have them send messages to each other as fireflies would.

2. Have five or more different ladybugs made out of felt or paper,
each with a different number of spots.
Or have each child make a ladybug. Each time song is sung, count the spots out loud.
Ladybugs can be black, orange, and yellow, and red
