Spring
and Summer Concerts
BEE-BOPPIN’ BUGS

This concert is packed with fun facts about our
tiny buzzing, creeping, and crawling friends.
Children will sing, wiggle, and buzz along.
BACKYARD BOOGIE!
Explore the fascinating and fragile world in your own backyard, as you
wiggle, sing, and dance your way through this interactive concert.
E-I-E-I-OINK!
A farm song-sing-along featuring lots of songs about
animals, including a herd of cool cows, farm machinery, and growing
things. Perfect for spring or fall.
SHE SINGS SEA SONGS
Sea songs with an emphasis on Pacific Northwest sea life, including tide
pools and ferry boats
SINGIN’ SIDESADDLE

Travel back to the Old West with this sing-along concert. You’ll visit the
days of calico and
cowpokes in this rootin’ tootin’ roundup of favorite songs from days gone
by.
Fall and Winter Concerts
E-I-E-I-OINK!

SEASON FOR SINGING

Why do we decorate with holly? Ion what country to children start the
season with a “good scrubbing from head to toe?” Share the holiday
traditions of children around the world, and learn where some of our
favorite customs have come from in this musical celebration of the season!
DANCING PAJAMAS!

Perfect for those dark winter days! Children are invited to wear pajamas
and bring a favorite stuffed
animal and blanket. This concert includes songs about nocturnal animals
and bedtime, with a sprinkling of lullabies!

LOOSE!

Favorite nursery rhymes come to life with interactive props and lots of
help from young audience members
READ ‘N SING A STORY SONG
Sing and read your way through these books that sing, brought to life with
interactive props.
RHYME TIME
Join this musical celebration of poetry, as you sing, dance, and play with
words that rhyme.
SING INTO READING!
Join this musical celebration of Early Literacy. Songs are one of the most
effective ways for children to learn the six pre-reading skills. Parents
are invited to bring their children as they sing and play with words
together while receiving important information about Early Literacy. The
program includes hand-outs that outline the six skills and list fun ways
to reinforce them at home using books and songs. Nancy is developing a
companion CD with the music for this program.

Favorites!
RHYTHM OF THE ROCKS
* Best concert for elementary ages

Based on Nancy’s ALA award-winning recording, this interactive concert
will take children on a musical journey around the world.
SING A SONG OF SCIENCE

These musical experiments will have children exploring gravity,
electricity, colors, space, and much more!
DINOSAURS GALORE!
An educational and entertaining concert which explores the “lighter” side
of dinosaurs! Highlights include the choreographed number Continental
Drift, and I’m a Paleontologist.
HOORAY FOR WASHINGTON!
Children will learn all about our state in this fun-filled concert
featuring Sadie the Slimy Slug ( 3-foot singing puppet), a “live” map of
Washington, a Products Rap, and many other songs.
CONCERT IN THE CASTLE
Children are invited to wear their favorite royal costumes in the concert
celebrating all things royal!

BEDHOG DOGS AND OTHER PET SONGS!
Make no bones about it, this concert will be a howling good time! Nancy
will feature songs from her recording, Oodles of Animals, as well as brand
new songs about our furry four-legged friends!

Music Workshops
For Librarians:
Nancy will show you ways to incorporate music into your story times using
simple songs, props, homemade instruments, and books. Handouts provided.
For Parents:
Music and Your Baby
Parents of young children will learn how important
music is in early childhood development, and ways to use books and songs with
their children at home.
Handouts provided.
For Childcare Providers:
Daycare and other childcare providers will learn
15-20 simple songs and ways to use them with young children, as well as
homemade instruments and
information on the value of music for the young
child. Handouts provided.

Fees
Fees vary depending on location
(inside or outside Seattle area), and number
of bookings. Typically the fee is $250 per
concert, but multiple bookings can lower the cost. Since every library has a
different budget, Nancy will be happy to work with you.
