Songs to Modify and Use
Modify the following simple songs to fit the
bugs theme and expand your repertoire!
Bears - Change the words to “Bugs,”
and follow the directions for props, substituting bugs for bears.
Great for letter knowledge!
Goin’ to the Pumpkin Farm -
Change lyrics to, “Goin’ to the park today”
“We’ll look for a little ladybug” (add other bugs, hold up pictures,
or have children suggest bugs)
Fishies - Change the lyrics to,
“There as so many bugs that crawl and fly, tell me what kind of bug
you spy”
Hold up a picture of a bug, and say, “I spy a fly (add others)”
Then sing, “ Fly, fly, I see a fly, I see a little tiny fly.”
Add other verses, changing the words to fit
Pass the Potato - Use plastic bugs
or laminated pictures
Follow directions of song, but change lyrics to, “Pass the ladybug
‘round the circle… etc” |
