Summer in the Seattle usually means taking a ferry boat to someplace fun, and making some great memories with your family. Here in Washington State we have the largest ferry system in the United States! You can have children sing the “yes I did,” lines and also ask what they would take on a ferry. You’ll get some pretty interesting answers! Kids are fascinated with boats so big you can drive your car (or your truck) onto them, and this simple song is a great way to learn about them.

Happy Boating!

Goin' On A Ferry Ride

Oh we’re goin’ on a ferry ride it doesn’t matter where
Just hop aboard the ferry, it’ll take us there
Cars and trucks and bicycles, walk-ons too
Ridin’ on the ferry is the thing to do

Did you bring a snack to eat? (Yes I did)
Did you bring some juice to drink? (Yes I did)
Did you bring a book to read? (Yes I did)
Did you bring some shoes for your feet? (Yes I did)

Did you bring your sunglasses? (Yes I did)
Did you bring the sunscreen? (Yes I did)
Did you bring binoculars? (Yes I did)
Did you bring your raincoat? (Yes I did)

Did you bring your bicycle? (Yes I did)
Did you bring your backpack? (Yes I did)
Did you bring your family? (Yes I did)
Did you bring your best friend? (Yes I did)
